The role of the Architect – Digital Sales & Marketing is to guide the global transformation of Digital Sales & Marketing service capabilities to keep pace with changes in technology and the Digital business. This is a strategic role intended to enable the company to leverage Sales & Marketing technologies to disrupt current industry methodologies and increase the operational effectiveness of the organization. Furthermore, the architect provides technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices, and is an evangelist for communicating and promoting digital Sales and Marketing capabilities to the organization. The Architect will need to be the subject matter expert in multiple Digital Sales & Marketing technologies and capabilities. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide decision making. Manages exceptions to architectural standards at an enterprise level. Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements as needed for the organization.
  • Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to the Product line and product owners, and software development teams as needed.
  • Leads virtual teams in developing technology plans. Conducts research on emerging Sales & Marketing technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility. Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
  • Consults with project teams to fit Sales & Marketing into the enterprise architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise architecture. Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solutions.
  • Develops recommendations and budget proposals for Sales & Marketing initiatives critical to business/mission success
  • May chair the EA review board and ensure that the solutions are compliant with target-state architecture models. Manages exceptions to architectural standards at an enterprise level.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Business field as it relates to the specific Architecture discipline. (Extensive experience may substitute for a degree).
  • 10 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment of Digital Sales and Marketing solutions, systems lifecycle management, and/or infrastructure planning and operations.
  • A thorough understanding of Sales and Marketing technologies such as Content Management systems. e.g. Sitecore, eCommerce Platforms, e.g. Shopify, eMail Marketing & CRM Solutions, e.g. Salesforce.com, Web Technology Stacks & Frameworks, e.g. JamStack.
  • Capable of working with teams to design B2C and B2B Digital Strategies for CRM, Loyalty, and Personalization across consumer touchpoints
  • Knowledge of Marketing Technology Stack Such as Content Management (DAM, CMS) , Customer Experience (CX) , Marketing Analytics (Google 360), CRM & Marketing Automation (Salesforce), Search (SEO, SEM), and Personalization (CDP)
  • The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and technology/capability constraints to the business
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
  • Highly competent in architecture disciplines ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
  • Understanding of Cloud & SLA models with DevOps and CI\CD Deployment Experience
  • Experience in establishing processes for reporting and managing costs and containment
  • Experience in using a service provider to manage Sales and Marketing Solutions
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code and software development lifecycle.
  • Strong competencies in multiple Enterprise Architecture disciplines, such as Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture and Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Capable of performing as or overseeing a project manager, delivering global architecture projects that have impact and may carry significant risk.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of at least one: AWS, Azure (Preferred) & Google and SAP Cloud environments
  • Knowledge for Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or any other flowcharting tools
  • Cloud certifications, SAAS certifications e.g.Salesforce.com etc. a plus
  • TOGAF (The open group architecture Framework)"
  • Understanding of at least one: AWS, Azure (Preferred), Google and/or SAP Cloud environments
  • Experience using Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or any other flowcharting tools
  • Experience Designing Highly Complex Architectural Diagrams and Roadmaps
  • Knowledge of Identity Management a Plus
