POSITION OVERVIEW

Leads assigned Procurement teams to contribute to the goals and objectives of the Function. This is accomplished by providing expertise and management supervision in assuring the supply of materials services and information at the best overall value. Assumes overall responsibility and accountability for all procurement activity including strategy development, and risk management. In collaboration with the Sr. Director Procurement for the Americas, develops OGSM and strategic direction of the Function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the development of the strategic plans for responsible categories in the Americas region . Leads the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved. Develops and implements strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation. 
  • Leads direct reports to establish and maintain reliable sources of supply and supervise the negotiation of procured materials and services. Manages and develops personnel and recruitment activity to promote an efficient operation as well as assuring a high level of motivation and morale.
  • Leads change management efforts while creating true alignment & integration internally and externally. Develops and implements strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation. Acts as internal consultant.
  • Promotes high level of customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects & requirements for Purchasing guidance & leadership.
  • Active management and interact with Sr. stakeholders related to alignment and implementation on strategies linked to grow top line with McCormick's main customers as well as the Flavor Solution business
  • Leads the strategy creation, implementation and operation of the Supplier Diversity agenda in the Americas for McCormick
  • Ensures the effective implementation of Procurement strategic projects to enable regional objective accomplishments
  • Provides direction and insight to ensure the Americas Procurement team is on track in delivering annual OGSM
  • Manages the inbound supply chain supplier service quality program ensuring the enablement of top line growth in the region

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of stud
  • 10-15 years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience
  • 7 yrs project management, execution of large, multiple or cross-functional projects.
  • 5-10 yrs managing, leading developing dynamic work teams
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas/depts... And external customers/agencies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • CPM or APICS certification
  • MMB experience
