Systems Analyst Support Intern

Overview

Reports to Director of Business Applications 

As a Systems Analyst Support Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our in-house systems, primarily the Warehouse Management System. You will assist in resolving technical issues, providing support to users, and contributing to the overall efficiency and functionality of our warehouse operations. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in troubleshooting, customer service, and IT support within a dynamic warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

1. Provide first-line technical support to warehouse staff regarding WMS (Warehouse Management System)-related issues, including system navigation, data input, and troubleshooting.
2. Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical problems related to the WMS software, hardware, and peripheral devices.
3. Respond to support tickets and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, documenting solutions and resolutions accurately.
4. Document key points during meetings and business calls and summarize meeting notes.
5. Collaborate with the IT team to escalate complex technical issues and follow up on problem resolution.
6. Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements under the guidance of senior staff.
7. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
8. Continuously monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Education

• College student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users at all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and hardware configurations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Basic SQL proficiency.
