McCarthy Building is Hiring a Site Quality Manager, Industrial Near St. Louis, MO

Position Summary – Site Quality Manager, Industrial
As the Site Quality Manager, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality management program is being implemented by the McCarthy project team and its subcontractors. To lead this effort, the Site Quality Manager will manage inspectors, coordinate construction and turnover resources and communicate quality progress with management and the client.

**Candidates must be willing to travel/relocate to construction projects throughout the Midwest area.

Responsibilities
  • Be completely familiar with the Contract Scope of Work, Drawings and Specifications.
  • Communicate quality requirements to the project team, suppliers, and/or subcontractors.
  • Work with McCarthy Field Operations to ensure risk challenges are identified and mitigated.
  • Develop/review Inspection and Test Plans and other project specific procedures as required.
  • Coordinates tests, inspections and demonstrations with 3rd party tests, inspection firms and any other authority having jurisdiction.
  • Ensure quality record documentation is complete.
  • Audit the work performed by McCarthy and its subcontractors.
  • Detect and correct deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the subcontractor quality performance and interfaces with the respective subcontractor Quality Coordinators.
  • Attending weekly operations meetings and addressing quality concerns timely.
  • Interface with the client/owner on quality issues.
  • Provide reports on quality metrics such as risk challenges, nonconformances, etc.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • 3-5 years QA/QC experience
  • 5-10 years industrial, light manufacturing, food & beverage, or related construction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Management experience
  • Proactive approach to project management
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project Management software (Procore preferred)
  • Strong problem solving skills
Preferred
  • AWS CWI certification or equivalent
  • Construction code knowledge
  • Building trade (Union) experience (Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work)
