McCarthy Building is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near St. Louis, MO

The Graphic Designer supports multiple brands within McCarthy and concepts, designs and produces a wide range of communications materials such as brochures, ads, signage, direct marketing and other collateral. Also designs and produces web, e-marketing and multimedia projects. Position reports to media design manager. If you can create visual imagery concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate your audience, you will make a great addition to our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Visualize concepts and create graphics and layouts for print and digital communication collaterals, such as brochures, powerpoints, or corporate reports,
  • Responsible for design, layout, and formatting of graphic materials, integrating typographic, photographic, illustrative, and other elements
  • Collaborates with creative team to ensure messaging and graphic consistency
  • Illustrates ideas through mockups or rough sketches
  • Presents reasoning with optional designs for selection and approval
  • Creates finished layout and checks proofs
  • Reviews quality of final product before release to client
  • Assists with maintenance of logos, art, and asset library
  • Ensures all materials adhere to brand identity standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or similar accreditation
  • Minimum of 1-6 years of experience as either or a designer or art director
  • Excellent design skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro preferred
  • Knowledge in html considered a plus
  • Constant Contact email creation experience a plus

  • A strong knowledge of current design trends
  • Technical knowledge of print and digital publishing and file setup
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task, and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Creative thinking, and ability to work independently, collaboratively and under art direction
