McCain Food’s facility in Wisconsin Rapids / Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees.

This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 3 million pounds of french fries a day!

Statement of Job

• Operate and clean Prime Line 2 from the blanchers to the freeze tunnels under normal supervision to achieve proper product color, solids and texture.
• This is a NIGHT shift position, working 6pm-6am.

Major Duties

• Monitor and control oil flow to and from fryers, dry tanks and holding tanks.
• Monitor and control blancher, sugar flume, dryer and fryer times and temperatures.
• Control oil use to minimize fatty acid levels.
• Follow company policy for job safety.
• Accurately perform tests and complete records as directed.
• Notify maintenance personnel and supervision of breakdowns.
• Understand the concepts, and participate in the techniques of the quality process.
• Clean all equipment and surrounding areas.
• Boil-out fryers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Coordinate with clean-up personnel.
• Communicate with Process Control, Quality Control and Oil Operator.

• Requires mental and manual skill, initiative and independence.
• Requires good communication skills.
