SUMMARY

The Line 3 Trainer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering on-the-job training for Line 3 Operators.

This position provides detailed instruction by use of lecture, video, and practical (on the job) training in the safe use of the equipment. This position will monitor and evaluate progress made of the new Line 3 Operator Trainees. The Line 3 Trainer will implement training of new or modified procedures in the Production Department. The Line 3 Trainer will ensure uniform application of policy and procedures on all four (4) shifts and make recommendations and updates concerning qualification of Line 3 Operator Trainees to supervisors.

The Line 3 Trainer will be responsible for creating procedures and check sheets that will be used by the Line 3 operators on a day-to-day basis. They will also be responsible for training of the calibration of line thermometers and tracking of calibrations of the analytical equipment out on the floor, making adjustments to equipment as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide training to new and existing operators.
• Conduct certification testing at the 30, 60, 90 day during the introductory evaluation period.
• Conduct annual trainings and/or certifications.
• Conduct refresher trainings or corrective action trainings, as needed.
• Updates training books and guides.
• Conduct analysis to identify training needs of Line 3 operators.
• Design course, supportive, and performance objectives to meet training needs.
• Develop teaching methods to deliver effective training.
• Implement and deliver training.
• Perform annual reviews of all training-related documents and as needed, when changes occur.
• Evaluate and update training for effectiveness and redesign, develop, and implement as needed.
• Document and record training activities.
• Communicate training needs and objectives to appropriate department managers.
• Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs.
• Attend all other meetings and training as required by company.
• Assist in updating One Point lessons, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction (WI), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessments.
