MCCA is Hiring a FT PROUD Program Recovery Coach Near New Haven, CT

PROUD: Parents Recovering from Opioid Use Disorders

MCCA is honored to have been chosen to work with DHMAS, serving the community and joining the PROUD Team. PROUD serves pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder, in the Greater New Haven area.

The PROUD Team Recovery Coach works with those clients referred for PROUD services to assist them the process of defining goals for the Client’s Recovery plan. The Recovery Coach will provide case management support to clients in the PROUD Program in the Greater New Haven area. The ultimate goal of case management is to assist an individual in such a way that it facilitates and promotes client and family wellness. The Recovery Coach will utilize trauma-informed, client-centered planning tools, supporting and guiding the clients in tasked outlined in the Recovery Plan, especially those goals related to education, employment, individual and family wellness and community involvement.

Major Responsibilities:

Provides peer support and case management to promote recovery from substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder. The Recovery Coach will work collaboratively with the client to provide motivational engagement, connecting the client with the appropriate resources as indicated by Proud Team.

Documentation of clinical activities in client record as required. Assists PROUD Program Supervisor and clinical staff as directed. Attends training pertinent to the position, unit and MCCA as a whole. The Recovery Coach may provide other outreach and educational activities both within MCCA and in community-at-large, and performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Recovery Coach certification or a Recovery Support Specialist certification from an accredited program, or the willingness to become certified.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work with a complex interdisciplinary team. Knowledge and skills related to individual, group, and family system dynamics.

Must have a valid Connecticut driver’s license and daily access to a car.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
