Job Summary:

McBride for Delaware is seeking highly motivated Organizers to join our statewide organizing team for a historic primary congressional campaign. Organizers will serve as representatives of the campaign and their communities and will play a vital role in building the campaign’s infrastructure across the state.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruiting, managing, and training volunteers to participate in direct voter contact activities including canvassing, phone banking, and voter registration.
• Meeting and exceeding strict daily, weekly, and monthly goals including volunteer recruitment dials, volunteer shift recruitment, volunteer shift completion, and volunteer productivity.
• Preparing canvass and call materials for volunteer activities.
• Adhering to a strict daily reporting schedule.
• Coordinate in-person events to educate voters and engage volunteers at scale.
• Build relationships and engage with community organizations and local stakeholders on behalf of the program in your assigned area.
• Develop and train volunteer leaders and teams vital to mobilizing our supporters.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment.
• Basic computer literacy and database skills.
• Must have reliable access to a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, a cellphone, and a laptop.
• One year of campaign experience or community organizing experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of Votebuilder/VAN is preferred but not necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

$3,800/month. Compensation includes comprehensive health care coverage (including vision and dental).
