McAnlis Law Group PC is Hiring an Associate Attorney / Of Counsel / Litigator - Now Hiring Near Indianapolis, IN

Job Description

McAnlis Law Group has an immediate need for a litigator ready to get involved and grow with an active real estate law firm. Our attorneys are in court on a daily basis on landlord-tenant and other real estate matters throughout central Indiana. If you’ve successfully completed law school, passed the state bar exam, and are seeking an opportunity to practice law with potential for growth, start your application today!

Our attorneys must be able to think on their feet, convince judges, be client-focused with good communication and legal writing skills. Must be licensed to practice in Indiana. Being licensed in the Southern District of Indiana and a working knowledge of Bankruptcy law is a plus. 

The position is based at our Broadripple office.

Job Type: Contract or associate

Required education:

  • Doctorate

Required experience:

  • Litigation: 0-3 years experience

Job Types: Full-time or Contract

Salary: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
  • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations
  • Working knowledge of client management systems, calendaring, and task management
  • Able to manage multiple cases with conflicting deadlines and time pressures.

Qualifications:

  • Active member of the Indiana Bar (required).
  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
  • Must have a clean record with respect to malpractice judgments and bar grievance determinations
