We bring experiences to the forefront of everything we do and to do that takes special people.Position PurposeProject Engineers/Managers will work as part of a project team to deliver a variety of stream and wetland restoration projects for both public and private clients across the Southeast and grow key relationships with new and existing clients. This work will include but is not limited to geomorphic assessments, stream and wetland restoration design, permitting, bid phase services, construction observation and post-construction monitoring.Essential Functions ResponsibilitiesResolve complex technical problems, coach, train, and mentor design and CAD professionals, and work collaboratively with all team members on all aspects of project executionLead team members in conducting geomorphic assessments (cross section and longitudinal profile survey, pebble counts, and BEHI analysis, etc.)Design, analysis, and permitting for stream and wetland restoration projectsDevelop technical memos and mitigation plansComplete Hydrograph routing, Riverine Modeling, FEMA Flood Studies, CLOMR/LOMR letters, and No-Rise certificationsWork in accordance with company standards guiding the project team from concept phase through construction administration for a variety of projectsLead team members in annual monitoring activities of constructed projects and preparation of annual monitoring reports.Be willing to perform field work as necessary for geomorphic assessments, construction observation, and monitoring activitiesCoordinate and oversee resource scheduling to ensure workload and deadlines are managed effectivelyMonitor and be responsible for establishing and working within project budgetsEstablish, promote, and ensure quality on all projects and work performed by group staffQualificationsFour-year bachelors degree (B.S.) from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related fieldPE required or ability to obtain within 1 year or equivalent experience5 years of related experience and/or trainingRosgen or equivalent stream restoration trainingProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGISPossess technical expertise in engineering and design as it applies to stream and wetland restorationDemonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to carry a project through the design process independently and within a team frameworkDemonstrated ability to independently manage and grow key relationshipsProven knowledge of budget impacts and profit and revenue expectationsPreferencesAbility to effectively lead a production teamAbility to develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project, provide the desired level of profitability, and ensure that the project schedule is viableUnderstanding of business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and cross-sell other services provided by the firmAssist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic market sector plansMcAdams is an equal opportunity employer.
