Role Description:

The AV Estimator plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales and projects teams by devising design and engineering solutions for sales opportunities. Responsible for maintaining accurate estimates and up-to-date information, this role also contributes to the day-to-day sales and projects operations of the company. We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Estimator to lead the conceptualization, design, estimation, proposal creation, and implementation of innovative AV systems for our clientele. Working closely with our sales team and project managers, the AV Design Engineer will oversee the development of complex AV designs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct complete project engineering, including material selection and labor estimation, and develop cost estimates in line with bid specifications.
• Assist the sales team by attending site-walk and pre-bid meetings, meticulously tracking site visits and conditions for use in engineering solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between sales, project management, and operations during project turnover, ensuring alignment between sales price and installation costs.
• Adhere to company guidelines for vendor and product selection, collaborating with vendors to secure optimal solutions, competitive prices, and timely material delivery.
• Provide floor plan takeoffs and project applications according to the company's recommended practices and technical support guidelines.
• Ensure all engineering work meets customer and company quality and safety standards.
• Participate in training and review sessions on technical requirements as per company guidelines.
• Meet bid schedules and deadlines, demonstrating the ability to work within strict timeframes.
• Attend and complete job turnover meetings to ensure all project details and expectations are addressed.
• Fulfill other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer interface experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Must meet company driving standards.
• Demonstrated ability to design, engineer, estimate, and present proposed solutions using company-provided software resources.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
