Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints to determine accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, project management, and strong negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop comprehensive estimates
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam or ProEst to create detailed cost breakdowns
- Prepare bid proposals and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget
- Collaborate with the construction management team to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and ProEst
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
-Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
