SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Technician directs the flow of shipments both inbound and outbound in the manner that is most cost effective. Routes outbound delivered loads and inbound back-hauls utilizing logistics software. References DOT regulations and manages load utilization and coordinates common carrier activities. Maintains customer delivery time windows. Manages communications associated with logistics distribution of material. and coordinates the distribution point of material for incoming and outgoing material. Maintains stockroom/inventory and associated documentation and performs periodic stockroom audits and reports.

This position is Tuesday through Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (10 hour shift with a 30 minute meal break x 4 times per week). 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Analytical skills; logistics software; works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring moderate judgment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT

Requires High School diploma with a minimum of 1 year experience.

TRAINING REQUIRED TO FULFILL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Forklift Training as required by safety regulations; Department of Transportation Training;

Hazardous Waste Training; OSHA Trainings; annual Electro-Static Discharge Training; and necessary safety training per company policy.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector (“QA Inspector”) to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The QA Inspector holds a critical role for the production program. Responsibilities of the QA Inspector include the performance of precision inspections on parts and finished products, determination of methods, sequences, and procedures for inspection, adherence to specifications and quality systems, as well as other duties to satisfactorily meet customer requirements. The QA Inspector reports to the Manager of Mission & Quality Assurance.
