erritory Sales Manager – Performance Flooring (East South Central, USA)

Geographical Territory to Cover Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee


This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us

We are seeking a sales professional like you to cover the states of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and expand new business opportunities for the Commercial & Industrial Flooring product offering through existing and potential Client relationships, and expansion of individual contacts at all levels. Your goal is to “Own the Facility” by providing solutions within our resinous flooring portfolio that meet and exceed the Client’s needs and expectations. You will lead all the necessary sales and marketing activities for the targeted industry sectors involving core product growth via project-oriented sales. The Territory Sales Manager works with specifiers, contractors, architects, owners, and Design/Build specialists to develop project sales and technical specifications. The incumbent also assists in major project development by answering detail and technical questions before and during a project. The TSM is also responsible for attending regional and local trade shows. This role requires active involvement with professional Industry organizations, and provides technical training to specifiers, owners, contractors, and OEM’s.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree or other related fields or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry
  • Strong track record in Sales/Business Development with experience in the construction market, along with experience in consultative selling.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in using online / electronic databases to generate leads is an asset.

  • Leverage your education and professional sales experience, you will sell seamless, resinous flooring solutions under the Ucrete®, MasterTop® SRS and MasterTop® brands using owner direct sales calls to the Food & Beverage, Lab/Research, and Heavy Industrial markets.
  • Resourcefulness and entrepreneurial drive will be crucial as you prospect for potential projects and Client opportunities through cold calls to build and ensure a healthy and consistent sales pipeline.
  • Strong communication skills will be vital as you develop and maintain relationships with your local design professionals to maximize specifications penetration in key vertical markets.
  • Demonstrate your relationship building skills through the maintenance and further development of a contractor installation base capable of performing installations at the highest level of industry standards and establishing a primary supply position with each through training, influence, collaboration and coaching.
  • Utilize your logic skills and technical acumen, you will solve design and application issues / problems for building owners, contractors, architect, and designers.
  • As the primary resource and point of contact for quality and complaint investigation, you will use your effective problem-solving skills for timely and successful resolution.
  • By successfully collaborating with your colleagues, you will manage the company’s business in the territory as if it was your own through a combination of individual effort and interdependent teamwork with peers and Sales Managers.
