Salary: $41.38 - $50 per hour plus superannuation
Location: Sydney - Customers House Library or Green Square Library

Primary Purpose Of The PositionAre you passionate about connecting people with knowledge and fostering a love of learning? Our client is looking for experienced Librarians to play a crucial role in enriching the community and shaping a brighter future.
We have multiple positions available to be based at either Customs House Library or Green Square Library. We have roles available for weekday shifts Monday-Friday, as well as weekend shifts Friday-Monday.
Key Accountabilities/responsibilities
- Support team management, strategic planning and daily operations through staff supervision, monitoring and maintaining facilities and spaces, and taking the initiative to lead the team.
- Provide excellent customer service promoting and role modelling Library strategies, Quality Standards and procedures to facilitate successful outcomes for Library customers.
- Develop, maintain and implement Library services and projects, meeting business unit objectives and addressing community needs in information, technology, collections and spaces.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment, where individuals from all walks of life feel empowered to explore and discover.
- Lead community-focused initiatives and events that bring people together and celebrate the joy of learning.
- Previous experience as a Librarian within public or private.
- Demonstrated experience of excellent customer service skills including accuracy of information, equity of access, user privacy and providing a welcoming experience to visitors.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including coaching and training.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in delivering on specialised library services (e.g. Collections, programming, outreach/community engagement, multicultural services).
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training in community engagement or literacy programs.
- Reference checks
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
