The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all daily operations at the plant and to directly managing all production and maintenance employees.This role is responsible for all safety and production protocols, the upkeep of the physical plant and to work with the Quality Department to track and monitor production metrics.

The Production Manager will enforce the company policies as outlined in the employee handbook and manage hourly non-exempt workers and temps’ schedules, and time sheets.

Reporting to the Production Manager is Production Supervisor, Operator/Line Lead, Production Line Worker, Production Cleaner, Custodian, General Labor Temps.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

• Oversee all manufacturing plant functions of safety, production efficiency, and machine/physical plant maintenance.
• Oversee all plant personnel and manage all employee hours.
• Oversee the plant in cost containment, inventory management, and expense oversight all machine and physical plant supply purchasing under the oversight of Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

8 plus years of experience managing production equipment and physical plant maintenance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage overall plant workflow for production and safety.
• Inspect and prepare plant for daily production.
• Ensure clean downs and daily maintenance are conducted and complete.
• Ensure all production documentation is maintained and managed.
• Maintain compliance with relevant food certifications (SQF) and maintain all safety regulations and local requirements.
• Prepare plant for all visitors and certifications.
• Support the Plant Manager in duties, enforce company culture and mission statement.
• Maintain and monitor work force to ensure they comply with company policies for cleanliness, preparedness and a drug free environment per employee handbook.
