Overview

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock, and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.

Responsibilities

1. Contacting LTL and small parcel carriers for freight pick-ups and ensures shipments are routed properly

2. Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory/cycle count files

3. Perform cycle counting and ensure the accuracy of the inventory

4. Point of contact for inbound delivery appointment scheduling

5. Coordinate with the appropriate points of contact for all sales order issues

6. Utilize company ERP system to run reports, identify potential inventory issues, make inventory adjustments, and prepare shipping documentation

7. Expand knowledge of operations by using company provided training modules

8. Maintain stock levels

9. Ensure and maintain employees’ safety and environmental concerns

10. On-call as needed weekend and after hours for deliveries

11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

· A high school diploma or GED is required; at least 2 years of experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment

Experience & Skills

· Requires solid written and verbal communication skills

· Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required

· Solid math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required

· Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task

· Maintain a clean driving record

· Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
