The VP of Finance- Lifting will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organization. Reporting directly to the President of Lifting, you will be responsible for the overseeing all financial aspects of the business unit, driving strategic financial decisions, and ensuring the units financial health and stability. This leadership role demands a deep understanding of financial operations, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.ResponsibilitiesProvide monthly capex, financial compliance, and risk management results to Lifting and Executive Leadership to identify areas of concern and monitor processes.Develop key performance indicators and trend analyses with recommendations to assist in improving cost efficiencies within the operation.Prepare, manage, and monitor the Lifting business annual budget, while providing regular forecast and financial reports to the executive teamAssess financial risks and implement effective risk management strategies to protect the financial stability of the business unit. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirementsThe ability to lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.Provides monthly analysis of financial results with in-depth analysis of those areas directly impacting the results including projects and inventory sales profitability.Perform analysis of key lifting business information and drivers, presenting recommendations to company decision-makers and stakeholders.Own and maintain multiple complex excel financial models analyzing business unit, product margin and transaction level detail when needed.Reviews complex financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and continuous improvement initiatives.Oversee the lifting business units capital planning framework including design and execution of capital stress testing processes, controls and governance.Stay updated on accounting standards, industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations, proactively recommending and implementing changes to accounting policies and practices as required.Collaborate with lifting and executive leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with the companys goals, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing data-driven recommendations.This position will be a key member of the financial due diligence team. The financial due diligence team is responsible for reviewing the financial statements of the target company and assessing the financial risks of the transaction.Analyze and review proposals for any system related to financial accounting methods, policies, and procedures; recommends improvements.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationAn undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is required. MBA or CPA is preferred.Experience & Skills5-8 years of General Ledger Accounting and/or Financial Analysis; manufacturing experience a plusPrevious financial management experience and ability to build, lead and motive a high-performing finance teamRequires solid written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required.Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required.Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task.Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify.Comfortable designing financial models to support the business.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in computer and database developmentTravelTravel for this position is rare; less than 10%The Mazzella WayMazzella is a family owned company that puts people first.
