Installations Engineer

Mazak Optonics Corporation is a world leader in industrial laser cutting technology. We presently have openings for Installations Engineers. Successful candidates will possess a positive attitude and take pride in their work. This position is based in Elgin, Illinois, but does require 100% travel within North America Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform proper machine installation and standard maintenance.
• Perform customer training on machine operation and maintenance.
• Analyze machine/user malfunctions and resolve in a professional manner.

Competencies and Qualifications

• A minimum of a Technical Associates Degree or the equivalent experience with hand tools, mechanical repairs, electronics repair and troubleshooting.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport

Work Environment

• The work environment is a typical factory environment that requires the ability to interact with employees, customers, and vendors on a regular basis.
• The noise level in the work environment may be noisy with extreme temperature changes.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, squat, bend, climb and reach.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs or more.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
