The Assistant Construction Superintendent oversees all residential and commercial capital construction projects on-site and is responsible for implementing the overall construction development scope and strategy for the location. The Assistant Construction Superintendent reports to the Construction Project Manager and is responsible for representing ownership interests with Partners, lenders, and others at the local level.
Essential Functions of the Assistant Construction SuperintendentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a remote home office setting with frequent travel comprising up to 10 percent of duties. When on construction/renovation sites, may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. May involve exposure to industrial hazards, including heat, cold, climate conditions, and hazardous environments associated with construction.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to travel occasionally. Heavy lifting is rare but may occasionally be required. The ability to traverse heavy construction job sites may include walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing is required. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands and fingers is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, and printers/copiers is needed. Management of stress associated with corporate-level leadership, meeting and reporting deadlines, accountability, and accuracy.
