Job Summary:

The Residential Accounting Clerk is responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company, processing of invoices and payments, assist with managing expense accounts and budget reports, assist with processing customer billing and payment transactions in Service Titan and Vista, and ensuring related accounts are maintained accurately in both systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
• Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
• Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
• Assist with the review of unbatched customer invoices in Service Titan. Assist with preparing and post batches of completed customer invoices in Service Titan and post to Vista
• Assist with preparing and posting payments received through Vista to Service Titan, ensuring payment records are complete and in sync in both systems
• Assisting with preparing updates of customer information from Service Titan to Vista, ensuring customer lists remain in sync
• Coordinate with Accounting Operations Manager to reconcile transactions between Service Titan and Vista as needed
• Coordinate with Residential customer service and operations to resolve issues as needed
• Assist with other duties as needed

• Excellent reconciliation skills to ensure accurate records maintained in two systems
• Strong customer service for both external and internal customers
• Proficient keyboarding skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage assigned processes with minimum supervision
• Willingness to learn new processes to meet evolving needs of the business
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening, background and MVR check

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years of experience in billing for service industry, with some accounting knowledge
• Proficient in the following software is a plus: Microsoft Excel, Adobe Pro DC, Viewpoint Vista, and/or Service Titan

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
