We are seeking a full-time, 1st shift, Shipping and Receiving Driver to become part of our team. We prioritize the growth of our team members by providing opportunities to develop. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who's looking to join a growing company!
Position Overview:
The Shipping and Receiving Driver I ensures all orders are accurately and efficiently delivered to designated customers daily. The Driver is also responsible for packaging products, and loading products in the delivery truck, while processing and recording documents in the designated system. The Driver will maintain solid customer relationships by being the liaison between our external customers and our internal customers. Always willing to help the customer, ensure excellent service, and maintain high customer satisfaction. Work is performed under general supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely drives to designated customers daily to deliver and pick up products
• Verifies quantity of parts received against quantity ordered, fills out the set-up sheet, determines packaging material to be utilized, set-up master packs, creates part labels, and performs part preservation if needed and required
• Set up jobs for packaging according to our internal traveler and customer specification requirements
• Create Shippers and Barcode Labels for each job as needed, daily
• Always adheres to company safety standards
• Always maintains security and confidentiality of all files
• To meet the needs of our customers and colleagues, you are expected to be at your designated work area ready to work at your designated start time

Competencies:

• Fluently speak, read, and write English
• Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures
• Basic knowledge of shipping and packaging concepts, practices, and procedures
• Understand packaging codes and the shipping process
• High level of attention to detail required
• Effectively communicates by written or verbal skills with customers, vendors, and others across various organizational functions to resolve issues
• Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
• Basic computer skills using MS Office products
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 3- 6 months of experience in a Shipping and Packaging department
• 3-6 months of experience as a commercial delivery driver
• Preferred Forklift Certified

Additional eligibility qualifications:

• Dependable and independent worker
• Must have an acceptable criminal history background check
• Must pass a drug test

• Must have a valid Driver's License

• Must have a satisfactory driving record

Physical Demands:

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to:
  • good hand and eye coordination
  • walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, transporting supplies or equipment
  • sitting or standing for extended periods of time at a desk or table
  • driving for extended periods of time
  • lifting and carrying items that may weigh up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Hearing and vision must be within normal range with or without correction

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

• Full time
• Generally, works 8 hours between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday
• Some overtime may be required
• May be asked to work weekends with little or no notice

Travel Requirements:

• Local travel is required daily, no overnight travel

Shift Schedules:

• 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
