- Provide individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and young adults with acquired brain injury and other neurobehavioral disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans and complete services notes
- Provide case management and support to families and act as a liaison between parents/guardians and the school and residential staff
- Collaborate outside service providers such as DCF and DDS
- Provide consultation and training to classroom and residential staff
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and participate in clinical rounds, IEP meetings, and treatment meetings.
- Assist families with guardianship, benefits, and transition to adult services.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of family engagement events and Parent Advisory Council meetings
- Master's degree in Social Work, LICSW, LCSW or license eligible.
- Direct, relevant experience dealing with families and students with special needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in handling a variety of tasks and situations
- Experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis and Brain Injury a plus!
