We are looking to hire a talented Staff or Senior Software Engineer on our App & Backend team. As one of our first 20 employees, you will have the opportunity to shape not only our products, but also our company and culture. You will report directly to our CTO.

What You Will Do

• Co-lead development of React Native mobile apps, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient backend services using Node.js
• Contribute to architectural and design decisions, striving for a balance between innovation and pragmatism
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distributed knowledge
• Help recruit great engineers and foster an engineering brand that attracts top-tier talent
• Contribute to creating and improving engineering processes and establish best practices
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in mobile app development and backend technologies

What You Have

• At least 3 years of experience developing consumer-facing React Native apps
• At least 3 years of experience developing backend services, preferably in Node.js/Javascript
• Expert understanding of modern Javascript and Typescript
• Expert understanding of React Native design patterns and best practices
• Expert understanding of building highly secure and performant products
• Understanding of non-relationship databases like MongoDB
• Experience at a start-up or agile development environment

Compensation

• $140K–$180K base salary 0.1% – 0.5% in equity compensation based on skillset and experience

Location

We are based in Atlanta, Georgia, and are looking for a candidate that can come to our Midtown, Atlanta office at least 3 times a week. We will make exceptions for exceptional candidates.
