Registered Art Therapist

Maxmed is seeking a fulltime Art Therapist to provide services to our Military Service Members at Fort Campbell, KY. Our Art Therapist will:

• • Organize groups according to the patients' capabilities, needs, and interest.
  • Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of art therapy.
  • Analyze data to determine effectiveness of treatments or therapy approaches.
  • Analyze or synthesize client data to draw conclusions or make recommendations for art therapy.
  • Assess client needs or disorders, using drawing, painting, sculpting, or other artistic processes.
  • Conduct art therapy sessions providing guided self-expression experiences to help clients recover from or cope with cognitive, emotional, or physical impairments.
  • Confer with other professionals on clients treatment team to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans.

• Degree: Master's Degree.
• Education: Graduate from an Art Therapy program accredited by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).
• Certification: Current certification as a Registered Art Therapist from the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).
• Experience: One year of experience as a Registered Art Therapist after graduation.
