United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley is Hiring a Community coordinator Near Allentown, PA

The Community School Coordinator (Ramos Elementary, Allentown School District) is responsible for strategically aligning and coordinating before, during and after school interventions, activities, programs and supplemental services at the school site to promote success with students, families and staff.

Coordinated resources and programs must address key priority areas for the school such as boosting family engagement to drive better outcomes with attendance, behavior, literacy, math and youth engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and implementation of data driven interventions for priority areas, such as :
  • Family-involvement strategies / events / programming
  • Community involvement strategies / events / programming
  • Positive Youth Development strategies
  • Coordination and documentation of resources connected to the school
  • Project management on assigned key initiatives
  • Leadership and communication within school and among partners and families
  • Strategic engagement with partners to ensure maximization of resources for best outcomes
  • Use of data to inform planning and strategy development
  • Monitors CS budget related to school based grants, other funds received.
  • May be responsible for other duties, as assigned by the Principal of the school and by the direct supervisor.
  • Assures the above are carried out within the context of partnership and with an overall goal of increased student success.

Requirements

Four-year accredited college degree in a field related to the guidance, education and development of young people.

Minimum 3 years related experience in working with youth.

Eligible to receive child abuse clearances required to work in a public elementary school.

Able to work in person on site at Ramos Elementary School in Allentown, PA.
