The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides consultation,training, conducts behavioral evaluations and develops/implements behavior interventionplans for individuals with academic and behavioral deficits.The BCBA acts as a clinical teacher whoeducates, observes, assesses, and supervises educational activities andbehavioral service delivery in the school setting.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
- Conducts functional behavior assessments and educational assessments, accurately identifying the function of challenging behavior and socially valid, pivotal behaviors to target
- Develops strong collaborative relationships and provides training to school staff to implement effective techniques across all environments, promoting progress and generalization
- Provides ongoing supervision and training of behavior technicians, paraprofessionals and related field staff ensuring treatment integrity and supporting professional growth
- Develops behavior goals and intervention techniques utilizing non-aversive behavior change methods
- Determines prevention, intervention and consequence strategies according to the needs and abilities of the individual. Collect, analyze and report data and other paperwork within the established time frames to ensure program validity and efficacy
- Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
·Requires current,valid certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)* orBoard-Certified Behavior Analyst-D (BCBA-D) by the Behavior AnalystCertification Board (BACB), accredited by the by the National Commission ForCertifying Agencies (NCCA) or its successor organization.
·Requires one year ofprofessional experience in, applied behavior analysis or completion of theagency-sponsored Behavior Analyst Associate program.
·A master’s degree isrequired to gain BCBA certification; a doctoral degree (PhD) is required togain the BCBA-D designation.
·This class is includedas an Upward Mobility Program credential title.
·For those positionsserving as Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals, such experiencemust be working directly with intellectually or developmentally disabledpersons and appointees must successfully complete department training designedspecifically for the QIDP before the completion of his/her probationary period.

Position Responsibilities:
- Conducts ABA program management for adults and children with autism spectrum disorders
- Provides direct client services, including initial assessments
- Supervises RBTs and conducts training and coaching
- Collaborate with client’s treatment team and families to improve communicative, social, and behavioral outcomes for all clients, including Behavior Technicians, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and schools
- Facilitate parent training and support families to access community resources
- Conduct supervision in client’s home and through telehealth.
