Maxim Healthcare Staffing Services is Hiring a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity Near Mocksville, NC

$80 - $85.50 Per Hour

Location: Mocksville, NC

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months, potential for extension

Employment Type: W2

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our public health team, focusing on providing exceptional pediatric primary care. This position requires autonomous management of patient care in collaboration with our medical director for quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in pediatric care, along with the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of patient health concerns.

Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends!
Responsibilities:
  • Autonomously manage and treat a pediatric patient population.
  • Perform thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and interpret medical reports.
  • Order and analyze necessary medical tests.
  • Provide supervision and training to medical personnel.
  • Maintain high standards of medical care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of preventive medicine, diagnostics, and treatment in pediatric care.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases and injuries.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program with pediatric specialization.
  • Licensed and approved to practice in North Carolina.
  • Preferably one year of experience in primary pediatric care.
  • Availability for emergency shelter operations during public health emergencies is a plus.
