Job Description:
Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilledCertified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the2024-2025 school year in Hamlet, NC. As a COTA in a school setting, you willplay a vital role in assisting occupational therapists in implementing therapyplans to help students achieve their developmental and educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to assess students' needs and develop customized treatment plans.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy interventions as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress reports.
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in North Carolina.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Competitive hourly rate of $30/hour.
