Salary: $48 - $56 / hour The Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in the development of the IHP/IEP for students requiring social work intervention and support in the school setting. Shifts: M-F (37.5hrs)Location: Near Thornton, COContract: Remainder 23-24 SYGrade: ElementaryStart Date: ASAPCertification: MSW or LSW or LCSW | Colorado SSP or TEE LicensePrimary Responsibilities: Provide direct services to students with mental health services on their IEP including 1:1 meetings, social skills groups, etc. Support with development of FBA’s and BIP’s, provide crisis support as needed. Conduct evaluations in the social emotional area and IEP development and documentation. Provide indirect and direct services to students requiring interventions. Workload based on a variety of factors including mobility rate, total population of students in the building, total number of students with disabilities, free and reduced lunch, and number of providers in the building.* Please note that this pay range represents a good faith estimate of the compensation that will be offered for this position based on the circumstances. The actual pay offered to a successful candidate will take into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and other variable factors.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Establishes a set of rules and procedures that are appropriate for therapeutic setting and are within the parameter of the full instructional programDesigns and develops appropriate individualized service plans that are based on the IEP and supports the curriculum using diagnostic information from a variety of assessments and assessment processesUses available and appropriate resources as a bridge to the instructional programEffectively transitions students from therapy to classroom and classroom to therapyPlans in collaboration with the educational team for the prevention and intervention of inappropriate behaviors, while maintaining the dignity of the studentEngages student in providing positive feedback using effective reinforcement techniquesInteracts effectively with (a) students, (b)family members, (c)educational team members, and (d) professionals outside the organizationKnowledgeable about general development and the impact of the disability on the student and his/her familyUtilizes community, state and national resources where necessary to promote the safety and welfare of studentsCollaborates with all assigned students and educational support staff as well as any assigned student teachers, interns, and volunteers working in the school for the welfare and safety of all students while in the classroom, on school grounds, during before and after-school activitiesAdheres to Maxim and District policies and procedures Minimum Requirements: Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facilityMay be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facilityComplies with all relevant professional standards of practice Participation and completion of Maxim’s Competency program when applicable Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required Computer proficiency required Must be at least 18 years of age
