We are seeking a Spacecraft Constellation Operations Manager to join our Spacecraft Calibration, Navigation, and Spacecraft Engineering team in Westminster, CO. As Spacecraft Constellation Operations Manager, you will support the Spacecraft Calibration, Navigation, and Spacecraft Engineering (SCNE) organizationas well as working as part of larger multi-disciplinary teams that include spacecraft system engineers, ground system engineers, software engineers and spacecraft operations teams to ensure overall mission success. You will report to the Director of Spacecraft Calibration, Navigation, and Spacecraft Engineering.

What you'll do:

  • Lead management of mission operations system requirements - development, verification, and validation
  • Provide mission operations support for the Maxar Intelligence spacecraft constellation
  • Create, implement, and manage processes for review of spacecraft telemetry, performance metrics, and spacecraft and ground system configuration data
  • Measure and report mission performance metrics to Maxar leadership
  • Work with spacecraft and ground systems engineers to conduct anomaly review board investigations
  • Interact with subject matter experts to develop requirements for tools and methods for mission performance analysis, spacecraft health and safety analysis, and calibration and maintenance of both spacecraft and ground systems
  • Coordinate modifications to operations products such as command procedures, telemetry limit configuration files, mission system constraints, and training material with incorporation of lessons learned from on-orbit performance
  • Support operations readiness activities for new programs including simulations and rehearsals
  • Support new spacecraft program milestone execution from Launch and Early Operations (LEOP) through Validation and Calibration (V&C), Initial Operations Capability (IOC) and Full Operations Capability (FOC)
  • Support integration, testing, and validation of new capabilities for spacecraft and ground system using simulators, software test benches, or flight hardware
  • Lead spacecraft resiliency projects across the Spacecraft Calibration, Navigation, and Engineering organization

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, physics, or related field.
  • 10 years of spacecraft on-orbit operations experience
  • Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to organize and communicate highly technical information in a concise and effective manner to stakeholders and leadership teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government security clearance
  • Experience as a spacecraft systems engineer or subsystem engineer
  • Experience maintaining hardware and software configurations
  • Experience with ground or mission integration efforts including operations readiness activities, launch rehearsals and launch support activities
  • Experience in mission management, command & control, and mission data processing systems
  • Experience with planning and executing spacecraft test campaigns
  • Experience in cloud development environment
  • Experience with requirements management tools

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$129,000.00 - $215,000.00 annually.Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
