Slitter Operator

Consumer packaging printer is looking for Slitter Machine Operators for our 2nd shift at a new facility in Concord, NC

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

• Complies with all company safety rules and workplace conduct requirements
• Sets up and runs a slitter/rewinder inspection machine
• Performs routine slitter/rewinder machine maintenance
• Monitors the entire slitting/rewinding process to ensure quality and count accuracy
• Assists in training other individuals and team members when required
• Demonstrates a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
• Performs other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Prior slitter machine operation experience preferred but not required
• Possess excellent computer skills
• Ability to lift 10 - 15 pounds continuously with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift
• Must have good visual acuity
• Must have good color vision
• Must demonstrate basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to read a ruler and understand fractions
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
• Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits
• Must be able to work with and around inks, solvents, and other chemicals
• Willingness to work overtime when needed, including weekends
• Ability to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
