Max Hospitality is a restaurant group that has been in business for over 30 years resulting in high volume locations in the greater Hartford and Springfield area. The group has always had a keen focus on cuisine, style and creativity in our locations to keep guests happy and our group ahead of the market.

In this newly created role, the Bar Manager will be responsible for managing our newest venture that is opening August 1, 2024. This position will train with the staff at Max's Tavern at the same address while construction of the new location is completed.

This role will require a detailed individual who has a keen sense of organization, cleanliness and ability to multi-task.

Bar Manager

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service

- Manage and supervise bar staff, including interviewing, training, and scheduling

- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability across three locations

- Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests

- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations - Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service

- Responsible for creating craft cocktails for menu changes each season - Assist in planning and executing special events or promotions related to the bar

Skills:

- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of bar staff
- Shift management: Experience in managing shifts and ensuring efficient operations during peak hours
- Catering: Knowledge of catering services and ability to coordinate bar services for events or functions
- Hospitality: Strong customer service skills and ability to provide exceptional guest experiences
- Food service management: Understanding of food service regulations, hygiene standards, and best practices
- Banquet: Experience in managing bar services for banquets or large gatherings
- Cook: Basic cooking skills to assist with food preparation if required
- Kitchen management: Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness

Pay: $45,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
