The HVAC/R Technician role is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment including: air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, compressors, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, ice machines, walk-in coolers & freezers, and upright refrigerators & freezers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Inspect current HVAC/Refrigeration systems for effectiveness and safety
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC/Refrigeration systems to increase longevity
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
• Troubleshoot current HVAC/Refrigeration system issues
• Repair damaged HVAC/Refrigeration systems
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC/Refrigeration resources
• Performs other job duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience
• EPA certification required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., safely climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
• General knowledge of parts and tools necessary
• Critical-thinker, problem-solver
• Must hold state driver’s license
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to interface effectively with the guests and colleagues
• Ability to speak, read and write English
