Maverick Gaming is currently looking for a Marketing Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting the Marketing team in the execution of strategic and tactical marketing initiatives including maintaining promotional materials, tracking sales data, and supporting digital marketing efforts. Please keep in mind that this position may be asked to perform other job tasks not listed below to provide exceptional guest service.

The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing Manager. This position will be required to work with various departments and outside vendors in order to initiate, implement, and monitor marketing campaigns. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Maverick Gaming’s policies, practices and procedures.

** $1,000 Sign on BONUS! -- $500 paid 90 days after date of hire -- $500 paid 180 days after date of hire ** Team member must be in good standing to qualify for Bonus Pay out (no documented performance or attendance issues in their employee file) **

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on the development and implementation of events and promotions.
  • Assist with all marketing events, as assigned. This may include microphone usage, and ensuring all props, materials, and equipment are prepared prior to start of event or promotion.
  • Establish and maintain excellent and effective communication and working relationships with other departments, properties, corporate and outside vendors to secure and maintain their cooperation for assistance with promotions/events.
  • Monitor and update all on-property promotional signage.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of day-to-day marketing tasks including, but not limited to advertising, promotions, special events and entertainment.
  • Assist the Marketing team with online content strategy to maximize brand voice.
  • Assist with writing, editing, and proofing both internal and external marketing collateral prior to going to print or posting on Social Media platforms.
  • Contribute to marketing calendar ideation by brainstorming concepts for drawings, special events and giveaways.
  • Prepare property communications for marketing programs and promotions, schedule and review materials with property management and provide on-going support as needed.
  • Able to work independently managing multiple projects in fast paced environment.
  • Light clerical work to include but not limited to; envelope stuffing, filing, faxing, and copying.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job; must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays for special events.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by Marketing leadership.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree (A.A.) in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - One (1) year of related experience required, preferably in Marketing.
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to proofread all marketing content for spelling and grammatical errors before finalizing and distributing.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with all guests in a congenial and polite manner.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job; must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays for special events.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing English in both written and oral form.
  • Experience with casino systems preferred.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel between properties and visit competitors as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Withstand various activities such as sitting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific assigned tasks.
  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas required.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc. withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
