The quality of our vehicles has become a hallmark of our reputation, and is of the utmost importance to our team and our clients – so this is a pivotal role for our organization, leading and overseeing the service and reconditioning of all our used vehicle inventory, ensuring their quality remains top notch while maintaining efficiency in time and cost. This requires a dynamic individual with serious strengths and capabilities in a variety of areas.

None of this happens without a great team of top notch technicians that love their work, and love who they work with. So first and foremost, we're looking for an inspiring team leader and player/coach! Someone who loves people more than cars, with a track record of top level leadership and communication. Someone who loves to spend as much time out in the shop – helping, guiding, and coordinating – as they do behind the desk; leading more like a quarterback on the field than a sideline coach.

This also requires someone who loves dialing in processes – always seeking ways to improve the quality of our vehicles while improving efficiencies and reducing costs. You’ll need the heart of a leader and coach, and the mind of a Six-Sigma Black Belt.

In order to manage this role and uphold our quality standards, you’ll need to know auto mechanics inside and out, so you’ve probably been a technician yourself, or have at least been in and around automotive for several years.

HERE’S WHAT THIS POSITION LOOKS LIKE (IN ORDER OF PRIORITY):

• Leading and coaching a team of technicians to be at their best individually, and as a team, to accomplish the most possible every single day
• Upholding the highest quality standards for used vehicles in the valley
• Managing detailing, vendors, and sublet work for quality and efficiency
• Ordering and managing parts and suppliers
• Constant efficiency / process improvement
• Making it fun to be part of a high performing team

HERE'S SOME SPECIFIC THINGS WE'LL BE LOOKING FOR:

We’ll talk with several references and they’ll need to confirm the following about you, for this to be the right fit:

• At least 5 years progressive automotive service experience. Ideally some time under the hood as a technician, and definitely some years of exceptional service writing/advising experience.
• People-first teacher and coach, with a track record of exceptional leadership
• Evidence of strategic thinking, hyper efficiency, and continuous process improvement
• Over-the-top organization and time management skills - driven, methodical, and structured - and still fun!
