Job Title: Project Manager – PMP
Duration: 6 months contract
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)Key-skills: PMP (must-have), Project Budgeting, Project Scheduling, Smartsheets, Experience with Apparel or Footwear industry a plus Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Management Lead to oversee and manage projects focused on defining tools and processes to support organizational excellence in program/project management and process definition. The successful candidate will manage projects typically lasting 12 months or less, with a budget of up to $1 million, spanning multiple business functions and having a regional scope. Position Description:
- Full end-to-end control of project activities, ensuring alignment among different teams.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional activities for the entire project lifecycle. Maintain change control of project documentation, aligning on critical dates and milestones.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with the China team, transition team, external partners, and senior leaders to ensure timely completion of project activities.
- Experience in project management within footwear, apparel, and accessories companies is a plus.
Project Scope Management:
- Collaborate with project sponsors and internal teams to define business requirements and project scope.
- Manage change control processes, assessing impacts on time, cost, and quality.
- Define project schedules, manage task assignments, and track progress against the schedule.
- Facilitate level of effort estimation and develop asset acquisition requirements.
- Track and report actuals against the forecasted budget.
- Provide guidance on project methodology and best practices using Converse standard project methodology.
- Define and manage project success criteria, and monitor and report on the achievement of project goals.
- Define risk management plans, analyze risks for criticality, probability, and impact.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and assign ownership and actions.
- 8 years of project management experience across complex projects.
- Highly proficient in project management methodologies.
- Experience with Smartsheets.
- Experience in the apparel, footwear, and/or textile development industries.
- Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
