Intermediate knowledge of principles, concepts and methods used in Generation and T&D substation engineering, construction and maintenance.Microsoft office, including MS Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables and various charting techniques), PowerPoint and OutlookTransmission and distribution system, including appropriate regulations and codes.Document control requirements, processes, and procedures.Job Description:
The Project Controls Analyst shall be supporting project management activities by providing accurate and timely analysis of project performance metrics, cost data, and schedules. They work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or project controls (e.g., CCP, PCE) is a plus.Experience in industries such as construction, engineering, or manufacturing is desirable.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Responsibilities:• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Employ project management software and tools to generate reports, charts, and dashboards for project performance tracking. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess project risks and opportunities.• Cost Control: Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts. Track project expenses, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Monitor project budget vs. actual expenditures and identify cost variances. Collaborate with project teams to implement cost-saving measures and control expenses.• Schedule Management: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6). Monitor project progress against established schedules and milestones. Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays. Assist in the preparation of schedule analysis reports and updates for project stakeholders.• Risk Management: Assist in identifying project risks and opportunities. Conduct risk analysis and assessment to quantify potential impacts on project objectives. Collaborate with project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Track and monitor risk mitigation actions to ensure timely implementation and effectiveness.• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and change orders. Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with project control procedures and standards..• Communication and Collaboration Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather project data and information. Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities.
