We look forward to receiving your application!ROLE SUMMARY: The Kitchen Manager will assist in the preparation of all meals by applying all basic principles of food production and food safety; to know how to use and care for all food service equipment. Be accountable for all meal transactions, accurate meal counts, and food and supply items. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: 1. Supervises kitchen staff. 2. Maintains production records.3. Assists Assistant Director of Food Service with daily needs. 4. Maintains product levels through receiving and inventory control. 5. Conducts daily inspections of all areas of the facility to ensure compliance with established standards. 6. Supervises student meal service to ensure the requirements for reimbursable meals are being met. Food is of consistent quality 7. Fills in when and wherever needed to ensure efficient kitchen operation. 8. Ensures production records and reports are maintained weekly. 9. Proactively maintains equipment to ensure top performance and life. 10. Follows Sanitation and Safety procedures. 11. Follows verbal and written work schedules and cleaning schedules as assigned by the Assistant Child Nutrition Director or Director.12. Washes dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.13. Assist in any area in the Child Nutrition program as requested by his or her Assistant Manager or Manager. 14. Complies with policies and procedures state. 15. Communicates positively with school staff, students, parents, and visitors. 16. Perform all other assigned duties MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: Position requires high school diploma or GED or comparable. Bi-Lingual preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to read and interpret detailed instructions, schedules, and recipes Ability to quickly process financial transaction using mathematical knowledge. Ability to work independently in completing food preparation and cleaning tasks within assigned timeframe.
