Matthews Memorialization is Hiring a QA Analyst Near Aurora, IN

POSITION SUMMARY

The QA Analyst is responsible for assisting in the design and development server programs for distribution center management. This role understands equipment, business and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions. This position participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, database designs, installation support, systems/software installation debugging, and support of other complimentary engineering staff associated with software engineering. Supports resolution of site requirement changes, and support solutions to complete designed equipment installation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to create, manage, and execute complex test scenarios.
  • Ability to map test cases to business requirements and functional designs.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management practices is beneficia.
  • Must be self-motivated and can motivate others.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions, work independently, or function in a team as needed
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to effectively present to and interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to make independent decisions daily that may not be reviewed by superiors.
  • Must be highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years previous in a Manual QA Role
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Selenium scripting, XPath knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Ensure completed software meets established standards
  • Validate end-user documentation and interface with the development teams and client business analysts as required
  • Participate in system requirements reviews, critical design reviews, test readiness reviews and pre/post implementation reviews as part of the defined system development life cycle.
  • Manually test any new software to ensure functional requirements, system compliance and technical specifications are adhered to conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
  • Create / maintain databases of known test defects.
  • Review and document defects against business documentation throughout the system’s development lifecycle.
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • Analyze complex situations and recommend solutions to the client.
  • Recommend areas for process improvement.
  • Attend regular meetings with the project team and provide detailed analysis when requested

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
