Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical or dental office setting and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Schedule appointments for patients and ensure proper documentation
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and phone systems
- Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using office software systems such as eClinical Works or similar programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients
