The Team:

The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) team is responsible for the design and execution of the S&OP Process, a vehicle for the company to balance demand and supply. Responsibilities include (and not limited to): managing the global S&OP structure and quality of the process, develop / implement and influence best practices in demand planning, supply planning and inventory management as well as manage system enhancement to enable all the above.

The Opportunity:

The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) function within Mattel's Global Supply Chain Planning organization is responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the S&OP framework and maturity. The S&OP process, or Sales & Operations Planning process, is a vehicle for the company to balance demand and supply. A series of S&OP meetings will focus on a key output that drives the next process to complete our monthly cycle. The Sr. S&OP Analyst is a key partner with our Brand Marketing, Commercial, Finance and Global Supply Chain teams. The Sr. S&OP Analyst will work in the global organization as a change agent to define and implement S&OP process, metrics and analytics.

What Your Impact Will Be:

The role will be focusing (and not limited to) the following areas:

  • Design & develop new templates/models to mature demand planning and supply planning analyses and discussions in management reviews.
  • Support process improvement to mature the end-to-end S&OP process.
  • Enhance demand and commercial analytics to support Demand Management Review and the Regional Demand Planning process.
  • Enhance inventory analytics to support the Supply Management Review as well as the net inventory modeling in partnership with Finance.
  • Continuously improve the Need to Produce (NTP) calculation methodology and support any system enhancement.
  • Support the Contemporary Demand Planning initiative across both demand and supply planning.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Analytics to enhance S&OP reporting (including demand planning, supply planning and Direct to Consumer).
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: The ideal candidate will apply critical thinking to dissimilar problems and deliver fact supported analysis, and the ability to quickly switch between strategic thinking and detailed analysis.
  • Process Management and Improvement: The ideal candidate will create and organize work and processes to get things done in the most efficient manner. Will continuously strive to improve the ways we operate by consistently bringing strong technical and leadership knowledge to the table.
  • Presentation: The ideal candidate will communicate clearly and effectively in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and executives.
  • Financial and Business Acumen: The ideal candidate will evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
  • Collaboration: The ideal candidate will build constructive and effective cross-functional relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.

What We're Looking For:

Required:

  • 4 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Strong foundational understanding of supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in data analysis of large data sets.
  • Experience gathering and documenting process and tool requirements.
  • Comfortable moderating meetings, delivering oral presentations and /or training to large groups; strong communication skills to deliver business updates.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in establishing or analyzing key metrics in Portfolio, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder/Anaplan.
  • Experience with Tableau/Cognos.
  • Experience with coding in SQL, R, Python or VBA.
  • Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $100,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
