What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Implement the Quality and Compliance process for Mattel branded product sold and distributed through alternate channels (i.e., live events, promotional items, distribution only, etc).
  • Evaluate product proposals to determine appropriate regulatory and Mattel internal requirements.
  • Develop alternative design suggestions where necessary to meet compliance and/or safety requirements.
  • Work with licensees and vendors to ensure product expectations and requirements are understood and met.
  • Review and approve test results from 3rd party laboratories.
  • Collaborate with the Regulations and Compliance Team to maintain awareness and knowledge of local, international and voluntary regulations, standards and proposals for product safety.
  • Assist licensees and vendors in monitoring and controlling crucial processes for components and products.
  • Travel (local and international) as needed to licensees, manufacturing facilities and Mattel offices to support the implementation of new business process.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • 7-10 years experience in related field.
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance and defect prevention.
  • Knowledgeable in global regulatory and industry standards for consumer products with an emphasis on children's product compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels.
  • High standard of ethics and personal accountability.
  • Establish strong working relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to identify problems, suggest viable solutions and make decisions within the scope of responsibility.
  • Sound technical and analytical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $117,000 and $140,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
