Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

Position Summary

Design, Specify, Purchase, & Construct electrical and control systems utilizing Instrumentation, PLCs, and Drives. Working knowledge of national electrical standards, application of PLCs Design, instrumentation, and data acquisition in a manufacturing environment, and AutoCAD a plus

Specifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Possess a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university
• Possess a Fundamentals of Engineering (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Has a minimum of five years of electrical controls design and automation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the food & beverage industry or Chemical industry is also a plus.
• Must be able to travel, both locally and overnight 20%-25%

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.

• Perform design calculations related to tasks assigned.
• Assist in gathering field data and preparing project specifications.
• Coordinate design with other members of the project team.
• Prepare electrical drawings, scopes of work, bills of material, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary documents for small projects.
• Prepare project correspondence as required.
• Maintain positive client relationships on projects assigned.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• This employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, and stairs
• This employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to a wide range of known food allergens

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications, ranging from $91,000 to $128,000 annually. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including candidate's experience and qualifications.
