Description :

Matrix is seeking entry drafting professionals to join our team in Maumee, Ohio. Ideal candidates for this position will have a solid foundation of experience with CAD-based software and a strong aptitude for learning.

Good written and oral communication skills, desire to grow and expand in experience, and willingness to learn cross discipline design are required for this position.

A primary focus on structural and architectural components such as industrial buildings, equipment / piping supports and platforms.

Responsibilities :

• Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client established safety standards when appropriate.
• Assist with basic design functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
• On small projects, interface with the client as necessary to obtain and communicate project information related to project design parameters, schedules, and budgets.

Prepare and maintain project documentation to include project log record, project budgets, memos, letters, meeting minutes, scope changes, and associated documents.

• Gather field data and prepare project specifications.
• Helping to develop 3D models and engineering installation drawing packages for proposed facilities both new and retrofit.
• Coordinate design activities with other team members.
• Assists with preparing construction bills of material, specifications, and other necessary construction documents for projects.
• Maintain and / or develop positive client relationships on projects assigned.

Specifications :

• Associates degree (AAS) or Certificate in CADD software, or related field required
• Entry level to two (2) years of experience in the industrial design arena.
• Proficient with AutoCAD
• Proficient in Revit - preferred

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls;
