Matrix Business Concepts, LLC is Hiring a Project/Field Engineer Near The Woodlands, TX

We are seeking a Project Engineerto join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, execution, and completion of engineering projects within the organization. You will apply your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and project management abilities to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Candidates should be willing and able to work at one or all of the following locations. New Orleans, LA, New Ibera, LA and Leeville, LA

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, incorporating engineering principles and best practices. Participate in the design process, reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases. Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and simulations to support project decision-making and problem-solving.

Procurement and Materials Management: Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution. Prepare technical specifications, bid packages, and procurement documents. Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct technical evaluations, and make recommendations for vendor selection.

Construction Oversight: Monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Conduct site inspections, review construction progress, and identify any deviations or non-conformances. Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and field personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of work.

Project Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams, to facilitate project execution. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements. Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to verify compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and uncertainties, proactively addressing potential issues to minimize project disruptions and delays. Develop risk management plans and contingency measures to manage project risks effectively.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including engineering drawings, technical reports, and project records. Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting keymilestones, achievements, and areas for improvement. Ensure that project documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical) or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a project engineering role, preferably in a relevant industry (e.g., construction, manufacturing, energy).
  • Proficiency in engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and codes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
