Job Purpose

The Maintenance Technician I will be responsible for basic programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, safety and preventative maintenance to support the continuous operation of the facility and its equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain maintenance logs for all equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance per manufactures specifications or as requested.
• Create and maintain process recipes and machine profiles.
• Program machines assigned.
• Shall be familiar with and able to competently use the tools of the trade.
• Shall be able to provide general service work to the facility, equipment, and grounds.
• Shall respond requests by performing requested services in the areas of programming, tracking, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Process improvement and tracking is required for this position.
• Shall assist in keeping the building and grounds neat and clean.
• Shall be safety conscious and adhere to established regulations, as well as use common sense in carrying out duties.
• One or more members of this team will be assigned to serve on the Safety Committee.
• Manufacturing Technicians will understand proper storage and disposal of products.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prefer experienced person in plant maintenance, two years or more.
• Shall have a general understanding of machine operations and safety.
• Be mechanically inclined and able to work independently.

Working conditions (if applicable)

Work will be performed in a climate-controlled building unless required work is outside the facility.

Education may require travel off-site for classes.

Physical requirements (if applicable)

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have visual acuity to read and interpret color codes for electrical wiring.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach within hands/arm's length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have visual acuity to read prints and interpret color codes on wires and components:

Near Vision: Jaeger 1 at 35.5 cm (14 in.), reduced Snellen 20/20 or equivalent - testing both eyes together. Far Vision: Snellen 20/30 minimum when testing both eyes together. Color Vision: average
