Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer
Duration: 8 month contract (set through end of year)
Location: Charlotte NC or Detroit MI (Local Candidates only)
Pay $63 - $65 per hour W2
Project Details:
Seeking an innovative and passionate individual who can provide significant contributions in the design, coding, testing, support and debugging of software & enhancements to existing software specifically focused on Public Cloud solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure identity and access management solutions for our cloud-based systems and applications. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure adheres to industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
The Work Itself

• Design and implement identity and access management (IAM) solutions for cloud-based systems and applications, ensuring secure access controls and user authentication mechanisms.
• Design, develop, and prototype cloud deployed services, APIs, and serverless applications using infrastructure as code (Terraform) to enable business capabilities in alignment with the architecture direction and standards.
• Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC) models for granular access management.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to IAM processes and best practices.
• Participate in an agile delivery process, and as part of that help size stories and own, research and recommend new solutions.
• Aid in implementation of monitoring using various tools, collection of metrics to enhance visibility & implement alerting to enhance service reliability.

Must Haves

• Extensive experience with AWS - IAM Capabilities or security specialty Developer or Solutions Architect certification preferred;
• Automation/security Python or Gohang API development;
• SQL Data Engineering (Dbt, airflow);
• Experience with HashiCorp Terraform & Gitlab;
• Must have excellent communication and coding skills
• Self-starter who will take initiative, able to lead, mentor and coach junior team members and help to build out functionality of program
