Job Title: Scrum Master

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Kennesaw, GA (Other locations available are Jacksonville, FL and Richmond, VA) Requires 3 days a week onsite

Required Pay Scale: $70-75/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)

Matlen Silver is looking for an experienced Scrum Master that will be responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams. The Scrum Master coordinates and facilitates Scrum ceremonies, manages dependencies for the team, provides visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enables continuous improvement within the team. You must also ensure the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner, Project Managers and the development team.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist the RTE in publishing necessary sprint reports and working with the tech leadership in improving the agile maturity of the teams
• Facilitating Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
• Helping the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements
• Ensuring the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO).
• Promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing
• Operating within the Enterprise governance and compliance guidelines
• Ensuring that all the necessary artifacts are captured to satisfy both internal and external audit controls
• Supporting consistent reporting practices across the teams & foster a culture of continuous improvement

Desired Experience:

• 10 years experience with at least 5 years experience as a Scrum Master ( Scrum Master Certification is preferred)
• Proven ability facilitating Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
• Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners effectively
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones
• Ability to facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
• Collaborative, with an ability to share information, transfer knowledge and train new team members

Nice to have experience:

• Proficiency in JIRA, including advanced JQL with ScriptRunner
• Prior knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and ability to ensure the program and portfolio level stakeholders adopt these practices
